Taking place online at 7pm on the eve of International Women’s Day, the event will pay tribute to the female journalists still working in Afghanistan and those who have fled their country
The virtual tribute will feature special guests Zahra Joya, Victoria Derbyshire, Saira Khan, Emily Maitlis and Cathy Newman.
In light of the panellists being sent to Ukraine to report on the conflict, Women in Journalism’s original fundraising event due to take place this evening will now take place in the summer.
