Chaired by Daily Mirror editor and Women in Journalism chair Alison Phillips, the panel will speak about technology, diversity and the power of journalism for readers and brands
The session, taking place at Mediatel’s Future of Media event at Andaz London on Thursday 13 October, will see young talent from the news and advertising worlds give their perspectives on the future of journalism.
Joining Phillips will be the Daily Mail’s Stephen Lawrence trainee reporter John Abiona and The Sun’s news reporter Julia Atherley. Spark Foundry group account director Emily Craig will also join the panel to share her insight on how news brands will matter to advertisers in the years to come.
Up for discussion will be journalism’s constant evolution as technology drives readers’ news consumption in increasingly more diverse ways, the importance and challenges of ensuring the industry is inclusive inside and outside the newsroom, and what makes journalism important both for brands and society at large.
