The Guardian
Wednesday’s edition of The Guardian included a supplement called “Let’s talk about it” that featured different people suffering from mental illness, the innovative services in place to help them and what more needs to be done. Reach Plc
To coincide with Mental Health Awareness Week, Reach plc launched a new podcast series called ‘No Really, I’m Fine’. The podcast aims to give a voice to those who are struggling with mental health problems. During this week, they have released one episode a day featuring guests including author Matt Haig and Jordan from Rizzle Kicks as well as experts from the Mental Health Foundation. Reach plc has been overwhelmed by the support shown and the number of people wanting to be involved.

The i has a designated section on its website dedicated to this week. The site hosts daily articles around the theme of body confidence and the wider issues impacting people’s lives. The Sunday Times
Look out for this Sunday’s mental health edition with interviews, features and columns. It will feature a cover interview with Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, talking about how teen fame left her “mentally unwell” and put immense pressure on her to be thin. Other interviewees include ITV News anchor Tom Bradby, musician Jess Mills and The Sunday Times columnist India Knight who writes about how the stiff upper lip approach has had its day.
Other newsbrands hosted internal trainings and events and at dmg media, even a bake sale to raise money for one of its official charity partners Mind. Stay tuned for more content across the national papers today and over the weekend.
