Overview
The Newsworks Awards are free to enter and open to media and creative agencies, and advertisers. Agencies may be based anywhere worldwide, provided the work entered has run in the UK in one or more of the national news brands listed below*. Publishers cannot enter The Newsworks Awards themselves, but they are welcome to help write an entry.
To be eligible, work must have been commercially released between 1 September 2023 and 31 August 2024, although it can also run either side of that period.
By entering the Newsworks Awards you confirm that Newsworks can use your entry as a case study in any media.
Entries
Entries must take the form of a written paper not exceeding 1,000 words. It must contain a 200-word executive summary, an entry headline and a person to contact.
Your entry should include visual material relating to the campaign, plus any video or audio content you would like included, if appropriate.
Prizes
There are eleven prizes available to be won and a Grand Prix, which will be chosen by the chair of judges. A list of categories can be found here. Each prize consists of a trophy and no cash alternative will be offered.
All prizes shall be awarded at the discretion of Newsworks. If in the opinion of the judges no entry in a category is worthy of a prize, none may be awarded. In the event of any dispute regarding these Awards, the judges’ decision is final.
General
Newsworks reserves the right to cancel, amend, terminate or temporarily suspend this competition at any time with no liability to any entrant or any third party.
By entering The Newsworks Awards the entrant agrees to indemnify Newsworks, its licensees, successors and assignees for any losses (direct or indirect) howsoever arising in relation to the entrant’s failure to comply with these terms and conditions.

No entry that is unlawful or been the subject of an upheld complaint by the ASA may be entered.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If there are reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached these terms and conditions, Newsworks may invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant, irrespective of the stage reached.
