It’s been a memorable spring: the mercury hit record levels in May, football fever is rising and glamour took centre stage at the height of awards season. Thank goodness ads in news brands have kept with the script!
Our second ‘ad of the season’ poll of the year invites you to vote your favourite ad from our illustrious shortlist of springtime campaigns. The twelve finalists, chosen by the Newsworks team for their ability to execute stand out multiplatform ads, bold front-page takeovers, tactical placements and contextual cleverness, were all featured between March and May this year.
The votes from our industry poll will be combined with the results from our RAM readers panel, with the overall winner to be crowned the ultimate news brand ‘ad of the spring’ in 2026.
What’s more, our prize draw is back to start summer off in style. With every vote cast thrown into the draw, one lucky voter will win a £100 bar tab to toast their victory with their team.
That’s not all — while only one campaign can take the crown, the three most popular ads overall will earn a place on Newsworks’ ‘ad of the year’ shortlist, where the winner will take home a glistening Newsworks Awards trophy.

Everyone is welcome to join in, but only those working inside the media industry will be eligible to win the prize (£100 bar tab voucher). The prize is non-transferrable and not redeemable for cash.
The poll will close at 11:59pm noon on Friday 12 June. Participants may enter as many times as they like.
The winner will be picked at random at the close of the competition. The winner will be announced in our News from Newsworks newsletter on Thursday 18 June.
Participants are encouraged to vote for their favourite ad from the selection in order to be entered into the prize draw.
