Publishers from across the news industry are up for prizes at the awards celebrating the very best of British commercial media
The full list of news brand nominations are as follows:
- Media Idea: Over £1m (Agency); Media Creativity: Over £1m; Best Creative and Media Agency Partnership: “Keeping up with The Times” by OMD UK, Leo Burnett and News UK for McDonald’s
- Media Idea: Over £1m (Media Owner): “The Sun and The National Lottery: who cares wins” by The Sun for The National Lottery
- Media Idea: Under £250k (Agency); Media Creativity: Under £250k: “Partygate” by OMD UK with Talon, Buildhollywood, Meta and Mail Metro Media for Channel 4
- Media Idea: Under £250k (Media Owner): “Times Media X McDonald’s – Back to the 90s” by Times Media, OMD UK and Leo Burnett for McDonald’s
- Best Use of Content: Budget under £250k: “Rebuild the world” by Mail Metro Media and Initiative for The Lego Group; “Simplifying sustainability” by News UK, SPP Media and Spark Foundry for Currys
- Large Collaboration: Budget over £250k: “Talking now helps your loved ones later” by Carat UK, Global and Reach Solutions for Co-op Funeralcare
- Media Brand of the Year: The Independent; The Pride of Britain Awards (Reach); Telegraph Media Group
- Rising Star: Media Owner: The Sun – Ryan Widelski, sales manager
- Sales Team of the Year: Telegraph Media Group
Two awards are sponsored by news brands this year. Reach is sponsoring ‘Media Agency of the Year’, while Mail Metro Media is supporting the ‘Rising Star: Agency’ award.
The awards ceremony will take place on 17 October at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on London’s Park Lane.
