The permanent role builds on her appointment earlier in the year as COP26 correspondent
Under the publisher’s Green Team banner, Clark has been reporting breaking environmental stories, interviewing green leaders and celebrating and championing the efforts of The Sun’s readers to be more environmentally friendly.
Alongside her new post, Clark will continue to be reporting stories from the lobby.
Green Team was born out of readership data showing 82% of Sun readers wanting to be greener, but most not knowing how. Taking a practical approach in its approach to environmental and climate issues, The Sun helps its readers to make more eco-friendly changes that also save them money.
Speaking about her new role, Clark said: “More and more readers are saying they’re interested in climate and green news, and I’m so pleased to be able to tell these important and engaging stories with our growing audience, both in print and online.
“As the world gathers in Glasgow to decide how best to clean up our world, The Sun will be at the forefront, telling readers everything they need to know about going green.”
Clark spoke to Newsworks’ ’10 minutes with’ feature earlier in the year, when she talked about some of her work as part of The Sun’s Green Team. Read about that and more here.
