John Tinniswood, who is 111 years old, was visited by the Guinness World Records to confirm the news. Born in Liverpool in 1912, he now lives in a care home in Southport, Merseyside.
4. Basketball history at the EuroCup
London Lions women’s team have become the first British basketball team — male or female — to win a European title, lifting the EuroCup in front of a sell-out crowd at London’s Copper Box arena.
