Audiences can look forward to the return of Bed of Lies and Bryony Gordon’s Mad World
Presented by Cara McGoogan, Bed of Lies returns today to tell the story of a major medical disaster from the survivors’ perspectives: Infected Blood.
The six-part series explores how up to 30,000 people in the UK were unintentionally infected with HIV and hepatitis C receiving medical treatment in the 1970s and 1980s.
The first series of Bed of Lies won Best News Podcast at the 2020 Press Awards.
Returning from 18-23 October to coincide with Addiction Awareness Week, Bryony Gordon’s Mad World speaks to high profile guests about getting unwell and getting better, shining a light on the importance of being open about mental health.
Nile Rodgers, the show’s first guest, opens up to Gordon about addiction, the challenges of getting sober and more.
Following the podcast’s launch in 2017, Mad World won the Making a Difference Award from mental health charity Mind. It also won Campaign of the Year at the British Journalism Awards for challenging stereotypes and showing that mental illness knows no boundaries.
