Tim Shearring has been appointed design and brand director, Times Media. In this new role, Shearring will be responsible for developing and managing design principles for Times Media, ensuring consistency across all reading, listening and viewing experiences.
Shearring has been at News UK for a decade, spanning roles in editorial, product and commercial, most recently playing a key role in the development of The Times and Sunday Times’s new website and live app. He was previously creative director on editorial, and associate creative director in branded content. His broad experience puts him in a strong position to align the visual output across Times Media brands.
He will jointly report to Times Media general manager Tracy Yaverbaun and head of digital Edward Roussel.
Shearring says, “At this pivotal moment for trusted news brands, it’s never been more important to create a coherent and consistent experience for our readers. I’m excited to take on this new role at Times Media and the challenge of shaping that.”
