Currently managing editor at The Sun, Watson will transition into the role over the next few months and take responsibility for editorial operations and strategy.
Watson will report to the editors of The Times & The Sunday Times, with the appointment following the departure of previous group managing editor Craig Tregurtha.
Victoria has been managing editor of The Sun since May 2020. During this time she has played a pivotal role in transforming The Sun’s newsroom to drive growth in the UK and the US, including a key role in establishing The US Sun.
Prior to her current role, Victoria held a series of senior posts across The Sun over the last 12 years, including digital managing editor and deputy head of strategy.
