People from across the capital have come together to support those most in need.
Last week, we wrote about how The Independent and Evening Standard pledged to feed London through their respective campaigns.
It has now emerged that the Evening Standard has raised a whopping £1.5 million to feed the most vulnerable in the country’s capital.
According to a survey by YouGov, eight million people in Britain are struggling and three million have gone hungry since the lockdown began.
In response to the crisis, partner The Felix Project tripled its supply of surplus food equivalent to 400,000 meals across London.

A big thank you to members of the public, foundations, charities and all the people who are making this happen on the frontline.
