Dansie has been appointed research and insight director at Newsworks, while Power takes on the role of insight manager.
Dansie will be responsible for spearheading Newsworks’ thought leadership and helping to amplify insights to media agencies and advertisers.
She joins from Publicis Media, having worked in several senior research roles across the network since 2011 – most notably, Dansie led the cultural thought leadership output for Publicis Media’s agencies, co-founded and launched the group’s “Women in Tech” initiative and is a previous recipient of WACL’s “Future Leaders Award”.
Dansie will join the marketing body’s senior leadership team and will report to CEO Jo Allan.
Additionally, Imogen Power is joining Newsworks and will work into Dansie. Power is a highly experienced data-led professional having held several insight roles at Mintel, Kantar and Enders Analysis. Power is returning to the industry having taken a career break, which included successfully completing a Psychology MSc.
Jo Allan, Newsworks CEO, said: ”I’m thrilled Heather and Imogen are joining us as they are both passionate about thought leadership. I look forward to working with them and supporting them in taking our insights to the next level.”
Heather Dansie, Newsworks research and insight director said: “Storytelling is such a fundamental part of research – we seek out what we don’t know, and then tell that story in the most compelling way possible. I believe news brands have so many powerful insights to share with our audience of advertisers and agencies so I can’t wait to get stuck in and be part of this industry.”
Imogen Power, insight manager, said: “I’m delighted to be taking up this role and playing my part in helping Newsworks shine a light on the importance of journalism through an insightful, interesting and story-led approach to research.”
Both Dansie and Power join Newsworks in mid-September.
