The week following the death of Her Majesty The Queen has been a time for reflection and celebration of her extraordinary life and service. News brands have led particularly poignant tributes; a series of striking front pages depicting the public’s mourning has added to comprehensive coverage of the Queen’s reign and what the future holds under the new King.
Newsworks held sessions at two industry events this week. Yesterday, political pundits Andrew Pierce and Kevin Maguire joined broadcaster and commentator Genelle Aldred to talk about the ‘Future of Politics’ at Advertising Week Europe’s ‘Future Finders’ event. Then earlier this morning at Mindshare Huddle, journalist and ex-England rugby international Sonya Thomas led a fascinating discussion about the potential for sport, journalism and brands to bring about positive social change.
We will be closed on Monday 19 September to join the nation in paying tribute to the Queen. We will be back open as normal on Tuesday.
