Cobb’s appointment marks a new era for the iconic publication, celebrating London’s thriving lifestyle and culture scenes
Starting in his new role on 4 October, Cobb spent more than a decade at British fashion magazine Another Man, before joining influential style publication LOVE as co-editor-in-chief in early 2020.
His vision for ES Magazine sees a sharpening of digital innovation, introducing dynamic new creative voices and extending the magazine’s storytelling from the page into moving image and real-life experiences.
Cobb takes the helm with the magazine’s position established as one of London’s agenda-setters in life and style, with a print audience of 614,000 and a total digital lifestyle audience of 1.5 million.
Last year, ES Magazine unveiled a new look site focussed on scrollable, clickable content optimised for mobile consumption, as well as integrating the innovative Brand Stories branded content platform.
Commenting on Cobb’s appointment, the Evening Standard’s editor-in-chief Emily Sheffield said: “At such an important and exciting time for London’s vibrant style and culture scene, Ben is the perfect person to further strengthen ES Magazine’s incredible reputation for inspiring interviews and features, and as the go-to guide for everything you need to know about what to wear, see, eat, drink and do.
“I know he will innovate to take ES Magazine to a new level – both digitally and in print.”
