With pupils staying away from school loos to avoid embarrassment and teasing, the Guardian and Andrex task writer Rosie Mullender to get to the bottom of what parents can do to take away the stool stigma
The partnership takes advantage of a Andrex-commissioned study of over 500 girls and boys aged between 10 and 17 to raise the issue of child taboos around using the toilet at school. It aims to empower readers to start family conversations with their children and promote healthy self-esteem around natural bodily functions.
The content, which appeared both online and in last weekend’s edition of the Guardian’s ‘Saturday’ magazine, forms part of the partnership’s wider multi-feature ‘Permission to Poo’ campaign. The feature encourages readers to find out more about the initiative on Andrex’s website.
