The course will provide best practice training in sustainability for advertising and marketing services professionals
Available online from today, the Essentials Certificate is a ten-hour online course to empower advertising professionals with the knowledge and practical skills to become genuine agents of positive action on the climate.
The launch comes as the industry gathers at the Ad Net Zero Global Summit on 3 and 4 November, with leaders from across the world’s advertising industry speaking on the system change needed to tackle the climate crisis.
Devised by Ad Net Zero along with a specialist team of more than 20 leading advertising and sustainability experts, the Certificate will offer practical techniques to measure and reduce the carbon emissions related to the work advertising produces.
It will also help participants to recognise how the industry can promote sustainable behaviour change and understand how to avoid greenwashing in advertising. Those enrolled will be able to test their knowledge, with tests at the end of each module and practical tips to implement in their everyday work.
The course is comprised of five modules and a final multiple-choice exam, with a digital certificate of completion and a MIPA star awarded to successful participants. For Ad Net Zero Supporters, the course costs a discounted £60 per person and £120 as standard.
