Nicola Jeal, award-winning editor of The Times Magazine, has been appointed to the new role of features and lifestyle director for The Times and The Sunday Times.
In the new role Nicola will have overall responsibility for the features and lifestyle portfolio on print and digital platforms across both news brands, including The Times Magazine, The Sunday Times Magazine, The Sunday Times Style magazine, LUXX, and supplements including T2, Weekend and Saturday Review.
Nicola said: “I’m delighted to accept this new role, working with the very best journalists in the business to continue the development of a family of brands within The Times and The Sunday Times which engage, delight and influence millions of people every week.”
Nicola started her career as a fashion editor before being appointed editor of Elle magazine. She left to work on newspapers, first as head of features at the Evening Standard, then as head of magazines at The Observer, where she won many awards for Observer Food Monthly and launched Observer Woman. She came to The Times as Saturday editor to revamp the Saturday features sections. She will remain editor of the Times Magazine.
