The aim of the scheme is not only to find the next generation of talent but also attract those who would usually face barriers to enter.
The flagship two-year programme will offer candidates structured on-the-job training, a nationally recognised journalism qualification and mentoring from i’s experienced journalists. And each apprentice will receive a salary for two years and fully-funded tuition.
