Cancer Research UK’s cover wrap of The Times’ ‘Weekend’ supplement on Saturday highlighted the real life success stories that donations to the charity have funded
The feature spotlights several young people whose treatment and conditions have been improved thanks to research funded by donations.
Case studies include 18-year-old Luke, who has gone on to become a national-level gymnast after treatment for liver cancer as a baby, six-year-old Fearne, who completed treatment last year as part of a Cancer Research UK clinical trial, and 16-year-old Zaid, whose successful treatment for leukaemia means he can head back out onto the football pitch.
The campaign, which has been released as part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, encourages readers to find out more about the charity’s work on its website.
