Following the Lionesses victory over Germany in the EURO 2022 final we saw an outpouring of celebration and pride from brands of all kinds, all eager to show their support and admiration for the country’s footballing heroes in news brands.
Our poll to decide which ad was our readers favourite saw Nike surge to victory with a commanding 33% of the votes. A simple yet powerful cover wrap of the next days Metro saw the infamous Nike tick with the words ‘Home’ above it on the front cover, while the back was reserved for the names of the women who made up the victorious team.
