Open letters have become an ever more common way for brands to speak directly to readers and consumers about issues that matter
Whether they’re written by supermarkets reassuring shoppers they can still shop during the pandemic or charities urging governments to do more, these long-form ads help to set agendas and keep consumers updated when events take an unexpected turn. But how many ads can boast an open letter on behalf of the animal kingdom?
In TIER’s ‘Behave like an animal’ campaign, animals take to the Evening Standard’s cover wrap to encourage us to control our carbon pawprint and find more eco-friendly ways to get around.
While they appreciate some of the human race’s greatest achievements (defeating polio, inventing ice cream among others…), our feathered and furry friends’ letter urges us to take a leaf out of their book when it comes to staying carbon-neutral.
