The awards hope to champion the unsung heroes who have made readers’ lives better during the lockdown.
Every Thursday the nation comes together to acknowledge our NHS heroes and those on the frontline battling the virus every day.
In addition to supporting the NHS, The Telegraph wanted to celebrate a slighty different kind of hero – the people who are doing the little things that make a big difference.
In an article in the paper announcing the awards launch, the news brand said: “It’s the OTHER heroes of life under lockdown that we want to reward – those everyday achievements of friends, neighbours or others we have come across, that we’ve been touched and helped by, or who have kept a smile on our faces, however tough times have got.”
Nominations for the awards are open until May 7, at which time The Telegraph will create a shortlist before announcing the winners two weeks later.
You can send in a nomination via The Telegraph website.
