The news brand asks readers to sign up as vaccine stewards to help beat the Indian variant.
21st June is the date we have all been waiting for.
To try and ensure that plans go ahead amidst a rise in cases, ‘Jabs Army’ volunteers are asking readers to join them in a big push to get the public vaccinated.
People will be invited to be volunteer stewards to make sure that all the over-50s are vaccinated with two doses by 21 June.
Commenting on the renewed call to arms, Boris Johnson said: “The Sun’s Jabs Army volunteers have been giving tremendous support to our vaccine programme, with nearly half of UK adults fully vaccinated.
“But to defeat this virus we must keep up this incredible work, so I applaud anyone else who can join Britain’s jab effort.”
New vaccination centres have opened and in total, 50 towns and cities are listed in today’s papers (see above image), needing help.
