The podcast gathered listeners together in News UK’s stunning 17th Floor auditorium for its very first ‘Tea and Toast’ session
The live podcast recording was the result of a ‘No Parental Guidance’ viral reel, all about the ‘spiritual’ post-birth hospital toast that not all mums get to experience.
Packing out the auditorium, listeners enjoyed their belated tea and toast while going full TMI on the ‘absolute chaos of motherhood’.
Hosts Louise Boyce and Hannah East opened up the space for safe conversation about cravings, public apologies, plus a naked M&S incident — all in celebration of International Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.
Emma Bower, commissioning editor for Fabulous video, gave us more insight into how the session came together and the partner opportunities for the podcast and its community going forward: “Bringing No Parental Guidance and our Tea and Toast debate off the mic and into a live space was brilliant.
“What started as a simple podcast conversation about the classic post-birth meal of tea and toast has grown into something much bigger — a celebration of our community. The room was filled with driven, ambitious and busy mums who made the effort to come along and be part of it in person.
“With our hilarious hosts, Louise Boyce and Hannah East, leading the conversation, the energy in the room was fantastic from the very start.
“What really made the evening special was the honesty from the audience. They weren’t just sitting and listening — they were part of the conversation and will be at the heart of the episode. The openness, the laughter and the real stories shared in the room made the recording what it was.
“It felt like much more than a live episode; it was a genuine community moment, bringing new audiences into the world of The Sun and Fabulous Magazine.
“There’s so much potential in this space, especially for the right partners to join the conversation and work with us to do even more with our fantastic community of driven mums. I’m really excited to see how we continue to grow this and create even bigger moments in the future.”
