On Thursday 9 June, the panellists will discuss how the news industry came together in a time of national crisis to launch All Together, the biggest public interest campaign in a generation
The session will feature Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Downing Street Chief of Staff and Member of Parliament for North East Cambridgeshire Steve Barclay and Jo Allan, CEO of Newsworks. They will be in conversation with host Gideon Spanier, UK Editor-in-Chief of Campaign.
Developed in response to an unprecedented national crisis, All Together was the largest news media sponsored content campaign in UK history.
Commissioned by the UK government to help communicate a broad and nuanced set of messages around the coronavirus pandemic, the campaign was delivered by the UK’s news brands through Team Nation, a virtual content studio created by Newsworks.
Since May 2020, All Together has seen more than 80 individual content briefs delivered across more than 600 national, regional, local and community news titles in print and digital.
In that time, it has broken new boundaries of agility and speed, scale and reach to create mass awareness, recall and trust amongst the UK public.
The panel will discuss what news brands learned from the experience, what the Team Nation approach would bring to agencies and brands, opportunities for the future and more.
