After the Fund whittled down nearly two thousand nominations from around the country, the public can vote for which local heroes should receive the grants
The fund has earmarked £100,000 to supercharge the work of local heroes all over the country, with grants of £500, £1,000 and £2,500 to be given out to 65 deserving community projects.
Michelle Linaker, trustee of Pride of Britain Fund and head of Studio Live at Reach, says: “It’s amazing to see so many people doing ‘small things’ that make a big difference in their communities.
“Whether it’s looking out for neighbours or giving kids safe places to play, they are truly unsung heroes.
“I’d encourage everybody to vote for their favourite as there are some fantastic nominations right across the country.”
Voters must enter their full name and email address to participate and will be able to vote for up to one nominee per region.
The public vote is open for a period of four weeks from 9am on Monday 3 February to 11:45pm on Sunday 2 March 2025, with the results announced the following week.
There will be a total of 65 winners, with the £100k giveaway split along regional lines to ensure maximum community impact and equal coverage across the country.
