Applications are now open for the Journo Resources Fellowship Programme which supports people in taking their first steps into the journalism industry.
The scheme, now in its fourth year, is open to anyone aged 18 and over; there are no age cut-offs and no required qualifications. The only prerequisite for applicants already in a full-time course is that they must have less than one year left of study and not already be working in a regular, paid, role in journalism.
Liz Jaques, trade marketing and PR director, who also leads the Newsworks Future of News initiative, said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting this fellowship programme for the second year running. It’s such an important scheme in helping people get into journalism, and promotes a more diverse and inclusive industry, which is vital.”
