The 2019 growth of the UK’s national news brands online has been revised upwards to 5% according to WARC, the leading global advertising research centre.
In July, WARC forecast annual advertising growth of just 1.1% but their latest report saw an increase in the advertising performance of these online titles by four percentage points.
Impressively, national news brand online grew by 15.6% in the second quarter of the year, again exceeding previous expectations by over 12 percentage points.
