Comedian Katherine Ryan and actress Kelsey Parker have joined Metro’s campaign in partnership with the charity Feed to call on the government to urgently review infant formula legislation.
The aim of the campaign is to force legislative change that would allow retailers to accept loyalty points, all food bank vouchers and store gift cards as payment for infant formula.
Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Katherine Ryan said: ‘Mums have it tough enough… No mum should have to worry about whether she can feed her child. I fully support this campaign and hope we can tackle this issue.’
Meanwhile Kelsey Parker said that it ‘breaks my heart to hear that some families are going to extreme measures to feed their babies.’
