News brands take home three awards.
Campaign’s annual awards recognise innovation, creativity and strategy and took place this week over two virtual award ceremonies.
The big winners this year were Reach Solutions, which won Commercial Team of the Year.
Judges commended the publisher’s improved offering to advertisings through its collaboration between commercial and editorials. This has led to some great initiatives over the past months including a climate change and next-gen edition.
Other winners included The Telegraph’s Women’s Sport campaign in the category Product Innovation (Media Owners) for its role in increasing the awareness of female sports. Since its launch, Telegraph Women’s Sport has led to 3.6m page views on telegraph.co.uk, continued buzz on social and more than £1m in commercial value.
Lastly, in the category Branded Content, Starcom and Visa teamed up with The Guardian to encourage people to shop local. Visa turned the news brand into a local media platform, buying every ad slot on the website, app, newspaper, videos and podcasts and donating them to local businesses. The campaign resulted in a sales growth of 3%.
