The Mail Force Charity passes two amazing milestones.
The Daily Mail’s coronavirus charity aimed at providing protective gear for NHS and care home continues to support front line workers as donations hit an incredible £11 million.
It has now provided more than 30 million pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) in just 100 days.
The majority of the PPE is now being produced in the UK instead of being flown in by China. One example is Griffin Mill in Blackburn, which has provided 15 million hospital aprons for the charity.
In an article in Saturday’s Daily Mail, a tribute was made to readers who have supported the cause: “while no one has the faintest idea what is coming next, donors can be in no doubt about one thing: the nation is all the stronger and safer for your generosity.”
