The Newsworks Speakeasy left London and hit the road in February 2025, heading to Manchester for the first-ever MAD//UpNorth. With food and wine tasting, competitive news quizzing and a look behind the scenes of some of the north’s biggest headlines, the two-day agenda gave a glimpse of the very best of British journalism.
