The two-day online event will be broadcast live from Glasgow during the Cop26 climate conference
Free to attend for any advertising professional worldwide, the Summit will provide inspirational content through thought leadership sessions and practical workshops.
The first day will set out the ambitions of Ad Net Zero and how system changes can help society and the world’s advertising industry tackle the climate emergency. This will include taking on what sustainable leadership in advertising means, greenwashing and how marketing can be a force for positive change.
Day two features a series of practical workshops with step-by-step advice and guidance to how to track, measure and reduce emissions in their work. The sessions will also cover how to shift to more sustainable goods and services across all areas of people’s lives.
Contributions to the Summit will include speakers from some of the biggest names in advertising, including WPP, dentsu and Havas as well as international trade bodies and global brands such as Sky, Unilever and Mastercard.
Speaking about what the Summit hopes to achieve, Ad Net Zero chair and EVP and general manager of Unilever UK and Ireland Seb Munden said: “The goal of the Summit is to help equip every advertising professional, from brands, agencies, media owners and tech platforms, to understand the role they can play day-to-day to support the global efforts to shift to a more sustainable way of living and working.”
