This month’s shortlist showcased eight top news brand ad campaigns with a sense of adventure — whether halfway across the world or from readers’ own homes. Only one ad could take the crown — congratulations to B&Q for being named October’s ‘ad of the month’!
Bought and planned by Dentsu X, the campaign uses an active wrap to give readers plenty of inspiration for their next bathroom.
According to a nationally representative RAM UK poll of 187 people, the ad polled particularly strongly for originality. 46% of those surveyed agreed with the statement ‘this campaign is original’, with this driven particularly by female (51%) and younger respondents (63%).
Joanne Simpson, B&Q campaigns and advertising lead, commented on the campaign, saying: “Together with the Mail Metro partnership, we have launched a campaign shining a light on the B&Q range of beautiful bathrooms and inspiring the nation to undertake a bathroom renovation.
