79 national news brand entries have been nominated.
Celebrating the very best in journalism, Press Gazette today announced the shortlist of its British Journalism Awards.
79 national news brand entries were nominated. For a full list of shortlisted entries, please click here.
In total 800 entries were submitted – a new record – thanks to a subsidised scheme that made the awards free to enter for BAME, disabled or female journalists who were not covered by a publisher.
Chairman of the judges Dominic Ponsford commented: “Considering the year we have had for news we expected some amazing entries and we were not disappointed.
“It was especially gratifying to see so many new voices recognised in this year’s shortlists. With more than 50 entrants in many categories, just making the shortlist is an incredible achievement.
“Thank you to the judges for giving up their time and to everyone who has entered.”
The winners will be announced at a virtual event on the afternoon of the 9th December, you can register for free here.
Congratulations to all the nominees!
