In this week’s list of unmissable news brand content includes a tennis star reflecting on a new documentary, insight into the now iconic Taylor Swift friendship bracelet and a French footballer using his platform to speak out…
1. ‘Twelve Final Days’
Roger Federer attends ‘Federer: Twelve Final Days’ in Leicester Square, London.
The tennis legend opens up to The Sun Showbiz about his remarkable 24-year career, his emotional farewell to professional tennis and his life post-retirement.
In The Sun’s interview shown on YouTube, Federer discusses the impact of tennis on his life, his most cherished moments, and how the sport has shaped him as a person. He ends the interview by giving readers an insight into what he’s up to now, including his foundation work, family life, and continued involvement in the tennis world.
2. Inside a creative director’s home
Ever wondered what inside the home of a creative director looks like? Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing opens the doors of his Parisian mansion to The Sunday Times Style’s audience on YouTube. Viewers get a glimpse of everything, from the palm tree that grows from the basement to the first floor, to the swimming pool where Rousteing hosts the Balmain after show parties, and the Chanel clutch bags that surround his living room.
3. Return of Nash
To this day, many still know Nash best for her biggest hit song, ‘Foundations’.
“I remember writing it in the little living room in my mum’s house, just on guitar,” Nash remembers. “I was really into punk music and John Cooper Clarke and trying to be clever with mundanity, writing around your own life, but trying to be funny.
“It was a youthful version of that, trying to write lines about growing up in London and nights out at the pub.”

4. “It’s a love story”
Taylor Swift fans (known as “Swifties”) are attending her global Eras Tour and have been pictured wearing stacks of beaded friendship bracelets up their arms. Their aim is to exchange them with fellow fans at the shows.
The bracelets are handmade, unique, and brightly-coloured jewellery, usually featuring song titles, lyrics, or other fandom references.
The Independent headed to Wembley Stadium for Swift’s second London date on Saturday 22 June to find out why the practice of making and trading the memorabilia is so important to Swifties.
It reports that the idea appears to have come from the lyrics to “You’re On Your Own, Kid”, which say: “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.”
5. “The situation in our country is dire and we need to act.”
French Footballer Kylian Mbappé has urged young people not to vote for “extremes” in the upcoming French election. Opinion polls suggest the far-right National Rally could top the vote for the first time, the Guardian reports.
“I want to be proud to represent France,” said Mbappé. “This is a never-seen-before event and that is why I want to talk to the whole of the French people, but also the youth. We are a generation that can make a difference.
“We see the extremes are knocking on the door of power and we have the opportunity to shape our country’s future. This is why I call on all young people to go vote and to become aware of the importance of the situation.
“People say don’t mix football and politics, but we are talking about a situation that is really important, more important than the game. The situation in our country is dire and we need to act.”
