This Sunday (March 10th), The Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine launches a new 16-page food feature.
YOU magazine’s new pull-out section will be overseen by food editor Angela Mason and include different content themes every week. The first edition is a ‘modern pasta masterclass’ featuring 500-calorie recipes, best-ever mac and cheese, plus the opportunity to win a getaway to Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons.
Jo Elvin, YOU editor, says in this week’s editor’s letter: “I might have been nearly 30 before I realised: if you can read, you can cook. And long before I was editor, this magazine was instrumental in giving me the confidence to step out of my signature aubergine-flavoured pasta comfort zone, with its simple but stylish approach to home-cooked food. It has been the place that has demystified cooking for those of us who could burn a salad, and given us the confidence to be creative in the kitchen. YOU magazine’s recipes have always been for the keen home cook rather than someone trying to win MasterChef – we want food to bring joy to your mealtimes and be the centrepiece of your table no matter who you share it with.”
YOU engages an audience of 2 million every Sunday, who spend £120 million on groceries every week. This group like to try new recipes and are twice as likely to cook from scratch on a Sunday. With 30% of shoppers also planning what to buy on a Monday, Sunday is an ideal day for advertisers to influence those purchase decisions.*
Also this week, Mail Metro Media announced that MailOnline is now trading billboard and skin CPM campaigns via programmatic guaranteed. Find out more here.
