Results of major new study unveiled on 16 October.
With the help of expert panellists, Newsworks will unveil its major new study via a virtual event on 16 October.
The event will kick off with an introduction from Newsworks’ new managing director Jo Allan, followed by a 20-minute dive into the research highlights.
Presented by Newsworks’ Denise Turner alongside Tapestry’s Ian Wright and Map the Territory’s Andy Davidson, the three research specialists will explore the findings of the nine-month study which included a deprivation experiment where regular newsreaders took part in an enforced news blackout.
The follow-up panel session will be moderated by Mediatel’s news editor Michaela Jefferson who will be joined by a line up of experts from the worlds of journalism and media – The Sunday Times’ Rebecca Meyers, Basingstoke Gazette’s editor Katie French, PHD UK’s publishing director Demi Abiola and Newsworks’ Denise Turner. They will discuss and debate the results and broader themes around the importance of news and journalism.
The event will be hosted by Mediatel and is also part of Effworks Global 2020. You can explore the full agenda here as well as register for the event.
