The #GratefulUK campaign will run throughout the month of December.
On Tuesday 1st December, Uber gave Metro readers the opportunity to share their messages of thanks to NHS key workers, via an interactive cover wrap to launch its #GratefulUK campaign.
With space to draw, doodle and rhyme their thank-yous to our country’s key workers, the cover wrap encouraged readers to post their final artwork to social media, using #GratefulUK.
Inundated with entries, Mail Metro Media and Uber chose their favourites to feature on a second cover wrap, distributed on Thursday 17th December’s issue of Metro.
To make sure NHS workers saw these messages of thanks directly, Metro and Gold Key Media arranged for copies of the newspapers, with cover wraps, to be distributed to 13 NHS hospitals via Project Wingman, whom Mail Metro Media also supported with ad slots.
Throughout the Christmas week (23rd – 27th December) Uber is offering free rides and meals to NHS workers in England, Scotland and Wales and Social Care staff in Northern Ireland.
