When Nationwide promised readers on Tuesday it was giving account holders a big ‘thank you’, it wasn’t fooling around, taking out double-page inside-cover spreads in news brands across the industry to spread the news
To announce its £50 ‘thank you’ to its 12 million existing account holders, the building society used a host of print and digital news brands across the industry to make sure no one missed the message.
Every daily national news brand featured the campaign on pages two and three of its print edition, making Nationwide’s giveaway headline news.
Commenting on the campaign, Nationwide director brand, marketing and corporate affairs Richard Warren said: “The NBTY (Nationwide Big Thank You) is very good news. There is no finer place to share good news than in the front pages of a newspaper!”
