A landmark sum of £10.4 million has been raised by generous readers of Mail newspapers and MailOnline
Money raised goes to the many Ukrainians who have fled both to neighbouring countries as well as the UK.
Yesterday, the appeal announced the latest grant, with more than £338,000 being given to Refugees at Home. This money will allow the charity to scale up its efforts to link evacuees with British households offering spare rooms.
Co-founder and trustee of Refugees at Home Sara Nathan commented, saying: “We are really grateful to the Mail’s readers for supporting us and other groups who are trying to make the lives of Ukrainians fleeing war as positive as possible.”The money will make a huge amount of difference to our capacity.”
