Former RAF bomber pilot Jack Hemmings believes you’re never too old to relive your youth. 102-year-old Hemmings is believed to be the oldest pilot to fly the Spitfire when he took to the skies in a bid to raise money for a charity he co-founded 80 years ago. He was awarded the Air Force Cross for exemplary gallantry while flying during the second world war when he flew the Lockhead Hudson aircraft to protect the Bay of Bengal from Japanese invasion.
